Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Welcome to Middletown Primary School! This will truly be a special year for your child as he/she enters kindergarten. We have a wonderful team made up of six experienced teachers, tons of enthusiasm, and love for all children.
I will be your child’s teacher this year. I was adopted from Mother Teresa’s orphanage when I was three months old and have an adopted sister three months younger that I, also from India. I have four brothers from Korea who were special needs adoptions. Their disabilities range from severe ADHD, Kleinfelters, Cerebral Palsy, Bi-Polar-Manic depressive and Fetal Alcohol syndrome. My mother was the only one born in the US and my father came over from the Netherlands. Growing up in such a loving but crazy family has brought me to teach and has given me patience within the classroom.
Currently, I have a wonderful son, Michael who is turning six and a little girl, Megan who is 2 ½ years old. We have a dog named Holly and six cats.
When I first started teaching, I taught in Charlotte NC teaching in a full day kindergarten class. When deciding to come back to MD I came to Middletown and taught the half day program. I am very excited not only to be back in Middletown but to be able to teach the full day kindergarten program.
I am looking forward to working with your child and getting to know him/her. If you have any questions or concerns at any time, please don’t hesitate to call. You may reach me at school, through E-Mail, or you may call my cell phone. (301) 514 – 6706.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Medvitz
